My fondest memories are of all day long Killer Instinct championships we used to have in college - blisters is an understatement!!! We couldn't go into class the next day as a result of all the pain associated with trying to type or write with a biro.

Aside from that, Mario Kart rocked, as did Street Fighter 2.

Didn't own one, so I didn't play that often.

    Who remembers ShadowRun?!?

    THAT GAME WAS F**KING COOL!!

As RPG's went, in the early/mid '90's , RPG's were largely all about goblins/swords/magic and didn't appeal to the mainstream audience (i loved every type of game though i was mad into them then, still am in a way)...that didn't happen until the playstation arrived.

But on the SNES, one of the most exciting RPG's was ShadowRun, a fantastic piece of gaming, it involved magic but with hacking computers and guns...brilliant mix, unrivalled to this day!!

    I loved that game!

*sniff* the good oul days *sniff*

I had (still do have) a megadrive/32x and as such SNES games were never my forte, BUT there was ONE game that did (and still would) make me want to go out and buy a SNES, just for it. And that game was ShadowRun

They made a MegaDrive version, but I don't think it was ever released (in Europe at any rate)

Lemming, do you know when they made the ShadowRun game for the megadrive? I didn't think that mega drive could handle the graphics of shadowrun well, that was the main downfall of the megadrive in terms of detailed graphics, the colour palette couldn't match the SNES graphics.

Why is it that people make other versions of games and then don't release them widely!?

By the way, I also loved Another World and Flashback...who can forget the emotional (really!) ending of Another World, where the creature picks you up off the ground and then the two fly off on some big birds back? That was emotion stirring stuff, especially for that time, where games didn't really properly capture the cinematic feel, not to that effect anyway...haven't seen that type of emotion in any other game of that 16 bit era.

I remember seeing screenshots for it in a megadrive magazine some years ago. It was either in development, or had been released for the "Genesis" (read US. MegaDrive). It looked a bit different to the Snes version in terms of the 3d isometrics being a little more pronounced, and cartoony looking(ish). The characters seemed pretty detailed though.

I'll see if I can't find the magazine. I know I have them all somewhere :)

    Cause they're muppets??

I want HL for the Dreamcast (and I'm positive I saw it one day in Game in the Sq. Tallaght a few months back), but it seems to never have been released?? Hmmm??

But I'm off the topic of SNes RPGS .. I do apologise boys n' girls
