Petition for Post Count reductions

Inspired by the magnificent thread '1500', I'm posting a petition which has long been discussed (and possibly done before - if it has then it needs redoing).

After noting the omnipotency of DeVore in such matters, i think we can sway him to bring down drastically the post count of richindub2. Not to sound unfair, i think the same should be done to smak. (Leave them with 10 or 20 posts )

Indeed, what's it coming to a when a harmless but fun idea is proposed and has someone flame(exaggeration) it down for no reason?

smak hasnt spammed in A-G-E-S but rich still does quite a bit, or so i'm told.

I presume by this comment you mean i flammed him. Well i had no intention of it comming across that way. Just logicaly i dont see that it make real sence. but that is just my opinion.

Actually I've noticed no-one wants Hobbes's post count removed, despite being top of the 'Top 25', with a spamtastic 7000 posts!! Granted though, I've never seen Hobbes spam, except in the style of WWM; 'But when I do it, it's cute!'

I was thinking about this for a while today. How if we reduced their post counts to 0 they'd go spammy-nuts to get it back.

I thought of another way

both RichinDub2 and SMAK have had their post counts set to 849569436456345 (or some equally stupidly big post count). Kinda takes the point out of it really doesn't.

I'll probably reverse all these changes or then again I might not.

how bout setting it so that for every post they make, their post drops a value

so they get -1 post count for each count made, until they hit 0

Thats a good idea, for every post rich and smak make, they go down one post.

I agree. It's a silly idea which just gives the spammers more attention which is seemingly what they want in the first place. If they annoy you just set the ignore feature on them and stop moaning.

Oh that reminds me here's the latest news on meh Jebus Mug (yeah like anyone cares but I started typing and it takes a while to slow down).
Well it appears Jebus went a wandrin in the post.:( I ordered it in the before-time, in the long-long-ago (10/12/01) I complained that it was taking so long and it was shipped on 10/01/02 and I was billed for the €23 on 14/01/02. The guy from T-Shirt Zoo tells me it must have been lost in the post because the address was correct and he said he would rerun the order (which was nice) on 24/01/02 but Jebus is still not in my life.

A "No Mug" (get it No Life/No Mug) title would make me feel better though!

maybe cloud, when it was available to everyone with 1000 posts set it to some ridiculously high number (when he removed the option) that was assumed no one could achive. just a guess.
