Where have my psots with pictures gone?

Well, if you haven't read the Announcement with the rules, you'll have no idea. Go read them.

If you've read the rules and still not sure what's going on, read them again. Pay attention to the bit that says Images are supposed to be 15K or less if your posting them inline, otherwise make a link out of them.

Now, I used to change it for people, but I'm sick and tired of doing it and watching as people can't follow simple guidelines, so from now on, I'll be deleting THE ENTIRE THREAD if there's an image posted inline that's greater than 15 KB in size.

The rules have been inplace since this board was created way back...

If you didn't think it important to read an Announcement entitled The Rules! then I'm not sure why you're getting annoyed.

In fairness this kinda thing does happen too much and Kharn and others have warned users about it many times before only to see idiots continue to post large images (even in their sigs). I'm not even the mod and it got on my nerves ages ago!

I would think "The Rules" Announcement would be a pretty clear warning and it has been up for ages now.

listen kahrn - im sorry i lost the head there it's just that when i came back and all my posts were deleted - i was a small bit angry!!

what happened was that i had posted them on another board that i'm on and i just copied he code here!!!

i completly forgot about the size limit!!!

my apologies - should i post them again with links instead this time!?!?!?!

Some time ago I was hosting a State Dinner, when at the last minute my
regular cook took ill and they had to get a replacement on short notice.
The fellow arrived and turned out to be a very grubby looking man named
John. I voiced my concerns to my Chief of Staff but was told that this was
the best they could do at such short notice, according to the Head of the Household Staff.

Unbeknown to me, but later reported, the following events occurred.
Just before the meal, the Chief of Staff noticed the cook sticking his
fingers in the soup to taste it and again he complained to the Head of the Household Staff about the cook, but he was told that this man was
supposed to be a very good chef.

The meal went okay but I was sure that the soup tasted a little off, and
by the time dessert came, I was starting to have stomach cramps and nausea.
It was getting worse and worse, until finally I had to excuse myself from
the State Dinner to look for the bathroom. Passing through the kitchen, I
caught sight of the cook, John, scratching his rear end and this made me
feel even worse. By now I was desperately ill with violent cramps and was
so disoriented that I couldn't remember which door led to the bathroom.

I was on the verge of passing out from the pain when I finally found a
door that opened and as I undid my trousers and ran in, I realized to my
horror that I had stumbled into Monica Lewinsky's office with my trousers
around my knees.

As I was just about to pass out, Monica bent over me and heard her
President whisper in a barely audible voice, "Sack my cook."

And that your Honor, is how the whole misunderstanding started.

Oh yes there will. you will always see peeps posting them could be they dont know what size it really is!
it should be put in to the coding if possible like if pic = 250k+ dont allow post..

well may be not as easy as that but you get the point

Big images are Ok if you are on a high-bandwidth connection. But theres nothing worse than trying to read through threads on 56k when theres a few Megs of images embedded in them. (I am of course referring to the wonderful "Show us your desktop background/wallpaper people!!!" thread - I had time to make my tea while the images were downloading)
