This is not a call for warez but I genuinely need to evaluate a voice-to-text system for a few days. Anyone know where I could get one? or anyone recommend one?

    Thanks.

    DeV.

wont work, i can get you it, but it wont work.

these programs take weeks, even months to get used to your voice. for the first few days it wont work right at all

Thats a bit of an exageration Boston.
I have Dragon and it DID NOT take weeks or months to set-up and use properly.

To simply train it to type as you speak in Word for example, takes less than 2 hours-
To train it to do more complex tasks like mouse commands takes a bit longer.

DeV. take a look at my reply on the tech board here...

Ok for the purposes of putting it all in context lets deal in hours. "Weeks" is very ambigious....
Yes... "Weeks" if you are not using regulary. I would say it takes about "10 hours" total to use it with good accuracy. Whether you sit down and do that in 1 day or over a period of time thats your decision.

Id say more then 10 hours, maybe dubble that,

8 hours before it makes sense,

but then it all depend on how you speak, if you use the queens english and talk slowly, then it fine. but i talk extremely fast(so im told)

Talk in a monotone and it gets used to your voice very quickly

Dragon is the best I've come across - bought version 4, since I've moved to 5 and now 6

Via Voice is good too - can't knock the latest version (9)

Don't think anything else is worth looking at.
