I have it on a very good source that there are currently 10 exchanges in dublin equipped for ADSL, and there are no plans to upgrade others at the time being. Reason - NTL is doing up all of the suburbs, and won't get to the locations nearer to the city centre - thus a nice market to exploit.

If you live more than 3km from the exchange - forget it. Period.

4 Internet connections availbile

256k down - 64k up
512k down - 64k up

1024k down - 128k up
2048k down - 256k up

The last 2 will be EXPENSIVE.

Not looking good...unless they decide to do more than 10 exchanges - but then again ALOT of people will be outside the 3km limit of the exchange.

Dunno where beggars bush is, but coolock is the nearest one to you. Keeping on heading out by santry omniplex way leads u to coolock. ( i think
rest are all southside.(ish)

I think that was actualy Eamo deploying his devestating 'wit' to great effect Anyway is Coolock within 3.5km of Phibsboro, I think it is, just about - that seems to be the closest one to me.

Sigh....This post has echoes of the NTL one many months ago. So many people thinking they were in range 'from good authority' and then it all ends up being pointless for the majority of folk.

Hmm....has nobody else wondered what happend to Pikachu? Was he silenced before his amazing revelation/conspiracy theory could be told?..... The plot thickens (kinda like soup).
