    I can't believe it, but I voluntarily reduced my own post count ... aAAGHHHH!!! Anyway, thanks to the contributors. I don't mind what way it goes as regards deleting, but the list should be updated from time to time and other (than me) people should be recognised for their contributions.

    Check out http://www.electireland.com

    It doesn't work too great at the moment but it appears that when we get closer to the election they will have each candidates views

    Not really worthy of inclusion yet though, one to watch

    Irish site - says
    It is directed primarily at those who are active in left wing politics or the labour movement, who are engaged with feminist issues, or who are concerned with environmental or human rights campaigns. Indeed, it should appeal to all persons who have a general interest in philosophy, politics, and science.

    Just a reminder to register to vote, if you have not done so. Registration is done between November and January each year. Resident non-citizens have certain rights to vote.

    Information:
    http://www.environ.ie/elections/vote.html#regis
    http://www.environ.ie/elections/vote.html#ureg

    Dublin City Council have some forms (but not the main form) online at http://www.dublincity.ie/services/forms/frmindexcat.htm

    The new (main) registration form has a section for opting out of the commercial copy of the register (to cut down on spam).
    Next year's Register of Electors is now being compiled. To ensure that you and members of your household will be registered, complete and return this form JMMEDIATELY.

    1. BE SURE TO INCLUDE:

    Every person over 18 living at your address;

    17 year olds who will be 18 by I5th February next;

    Any eligible person who normally lives at your address but is temporarily away.

    2. DO NOT INCLUDE:

    A visitor staying temporarily at your address.

    3. CITIZENSHIP

    Please indicate the citizenship of each person on the application form: this will determine the elections at which that person may vote.

    4. TWO VERSIONS OF THE REGISTER

    From 2004 or earlier if possible, registration authorities will publish two versions of the register - the edited register and the full register.

    The edited register will contain the names and addresses of persons who have indicated that their details can be used for a purpose other than electoral or other statutory use, e.g. for direct marketing use by a commercial or other organisation.

    The full register lists everyone who is entitled to vote and once an edited register has been published can only be used for an electoral or other statutory purpose.

    If you want your details or those of any member of your household to be included in the edited register, you should tick the YES box in column (v) at part 3 of the form. If you do not want the registration details to be available for direct marketing or other non-statutory uses, you should tick the NO box.

    This is the old form

    http://www.dublincity.ie/services/forms/frmdocs/votersfrm.doc

    New form attached (79k)

    Well, Republican Sinn Féin have a site here:
    http://www.iol.ie/~saoirse/video/index.html

    Among other things, they want Athlone to be the capital of a federal socialist republic of Ireland. The last person to seriously toy with that idea was Queen Elizabeth I, funny how things come round.

    I have looked at the site above. It it was just a site for republicans ( as in people from , for example , Fianna Fail, the republican party ), fair enough.
    However, it seems to contain a lot of pro-IRA material, not just provisional IRA but real IRA and Continuity IRA. There are links from it to other websites as well, one of them for example called "REAL IRA". After the Omagh bomb atrocity, I find it surprising that these links and links to links should be tolerated, as even if it encourage one extra person in to their movement is that not one too many ? Over to you , moderator.

    The site is hosted by Na Fianna Éireann which is aligned to Republican Sinn Féin, I also believe that it explicitly states that no views expressed on the site are necessarily those of Na Fianna's. For example, if someone posted a link to boards.ie on a different site, and someone on the latter found my pro-IRA stance offensive would it be justified to remove boards.ie as a link?

    No it wouldn't because people are entitled to an opinion regardless of what that may be.
