Micro mate I got a Advent lap top back in Augest for IRP£1500 with the following spec
    PIII 1 GHz
    128Mb ram
    Internal DVD
    Internal Floppy
    USB
Bigger screen than that 14" me thinks
    Modem
    IR
    LAN
    20 Gig HD
I didn't have the firewire port but had nearly everything else you said and for 15 squid I got another 256 ram for it. I would have expected that you would be able to get more for your money these days. Just though I would let you know.....

So I've heard. It's a bit like if your online store had a network outage and you had to physically travel to the so-called "shop" to "collect" your purchases.

Notes that "collect" is a type of self-delivery mechanism.

Well I suppose I have to do everything for you so here you go. You should be able to call into currys/dixons/PC World and get the Irish price and it should be cheaper (it is in the dixons down the road from me)

seems ok but i reccently bought a Toshiba 1800-814 with similar specs, 1gig, 256 ram, 16mb vid etc... but its a TOSHIBA!!! price in PC world was the same as that give or take a few Euro... Check it out before buying a foreign laptop!
