Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

south park-finaly gone too far?

i was watching south park a while ago and i couldnt believe it but the pure combined genuis that are matt stone and trey parker finaly managed to seriously disgust and disturb me.

the episode im talking about is the one where Big Gay Al gets kicked out of scouts, in this one Timmy (the hilarious wheelchair-bound handicaped dude!) and another (and really annoying) disabled dude with weird crutches have a scrap.
I thought most of this was funny like cartman screaming CRIPPLE FIGHT! every five minutes, and when they finaly did get down to fighting the start of it was really funny, but then they started fighting, a slow cruel brawl where they just SLOWLY hit each other a few times with no funneh's whatsoever, i actualy cringed while watching it, then it swiched scenes for a few minutes and i thought "thank **** for that" but then it came back to the fight and it went on for a good 5 minutes of the most embarasing thing i ever watched,

im not one of these people who think that the Timmy characture is a horrible depiction of the physicaly dissabled or whatever, hes my favourate one! but this episode was downright sick and it was really disappointing. and i was just wondering if anyone else thought so or if my sick twisted sense of humour had finaly reached its limit?

I saw that last night and I have to say I don't think it went too far at all..

If it was Cartman and Kyle fighting like that would you feel the same level of disgust?

[Edit]BTW, you should see the uncensored Family Guys episodes.. now they take wheelchair jokes to a new low...)[/Edit]

I almost agree with you there... I was in stitches last night watching it but I was holding myself back, it was a bit too far. I wonder if they have gotten into trouble for that.

True about Kyle and Cartman fighting tho Gambler. I think one of the things was the "CRIPPLE FIGHT" that made it a bit... bad, but it was funny nonetheless

But that is the whole thing.. the reason they use kids as the characters is kids have no concept of Timmy being "Disabled" He's just Timmy that happens to be a cripple.. If it was the Nerds it would be "Nerd Fight!"

Hmmmm... true, sold, gone to the highest bidder, I'd buy that for a dollar etc etc

personally i thought it was another classic south park. i like the purile and sometimes "objectional" homour in south park.

Cartman rounding up people for the fight has me in stiches.

But I mean if some people found the "cripple fight" a bit too much, then so be it. I just wonder did anyone find the name of the new scout master objectionable aswell "Mr Slippy Fist", or that Timmy got the other kid booted out with a doctored photo?

Oh will you give over, why does everythign have to be politically correct??
South Park is not only funny, but it makes some good points too, social-critique if you will. The old saying still goes. If you don't like, don't fvcking watch it. Simple as that. No need to cry over it.

Family Guy is class though. Best was when they got married and Peter's dad hung a sign on the back of the car, under "Just Married", he put one that said "To A Protestant Whore". Funny stuff.

I don't think South Park is ever going to go too far,why?2 simple facts-

They show it an appropriate time so little kiddes can't be socially and morally "corrupted"

    And it's a CARTOON

And btw I thought the fight between Timmy and Jimmy was hilarious:p

what you mean you haven't seen the episode "Kenny Dies" yet? its all about stem cell research and aborted feotuses (sp?)
or "Proper use of a condom" where the kids go around jacking off dogs... "Cripple Fights" pretty lame compared to them :)
