What about adding a business & economics board? Im sure that the demand is out there.

Yes I think this is a very good idea.

I think also it might be able to incorporate a consumer and legal aspect to it as well. I seem to see alot of those types of questions around the place!

I think it was Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams who was told...

Business
Related matters such as taxation, investments, stock market, banking-
SME's issues- like PRSI, compliance, accounting etc.
Also Commercial legal matters-What are ones obligations and rights

Economics-
Sometimes I would like to talk about some issues in the Press- for instance...The fact that 2 out of the last 3 years the ISEQ has been the worst performing Stock market in the world- but for instance I wasn't sure where to start a thread?? Maybe Humanities or politics but its not exactly suited for either of those boards

Thats a brief summisation of things and also as Bestie Boy pointed out maybe a few consumer issues like the euro. I think consumer rights issues appear all over the place like technology, after hours, music etc- I suppose these could all be discussed better if we had this board!?

I realise I am only a newbie but I also think this board would be a good idea. It would also be a good place to go for anyone looking for tax advice etc. Also could be room for discussion about the supposed open EU market here.

Sounds okay, I think we are arriving at a problem though with our category groups - After Hours is moving more and more towards Miscellaneous: Gaeilge / Humanities / Politics don't really belong in there as such.

A new order is needed for, down with the old admins.

How about this Cloud: Leave all the leisure/recreation stuff in After Hours, and create a new top-level category for Society, containing Politics, Humanities, Green Issues, Gaeilge, The Euro, IrelandOffline and perhaps Open. Business & Economics can go in there too.

How about grouping them under a current events banner along with ecconomics,green issues and the euro.
It could maybe cover the arts (as opposed to art/animation)and literature too,
Not perfect,but could be a step in the right direction.

My radical new suggestions for new improved titles:

After hours section - becomes Muppetry
Humanities/politics/etc. - becomes Extreme muppetry
Games - becomes Hardcore Muppetry
Classifieds - becomes MAKE TEH MONAE FASTOR!
Technology - stays the same but when anyone posts there their avatar turns into Beaker.
Misc - is devolved and it's compenent parts divided amongst the rest in a disgusting and degrading show of barbarism.
ICDG - becomes IT'S TEH MUPPET SHOW!
Admin - becomes UNNNF! UNNNNFF!! OMG! TEH MUPPETORY!
Education - becomes I R NOT SPEL GUD COS R TEH STREKES!
LOTR - becomes LOTM!
