    I'm with Bard on this one too. Mainly because I find it difficult to see how someone could fast for 40 days in a desert without fading away. And I can't see any metaphor in it either :)

    Maybe it was a fast of minimal eating (water and the odd fish head) that was undertaken. God, he may have been, still a god made of rotting, destructible flesh!

    I'm giving up listening to Rory Gallagher for lent which is an extreme sacrifice for myself.
