Esat restructures and sheds 200 jobs

Didn't BT and Esat say last week that it was unlikely Esat jobs would be lost? I'm not saying, I'm asking.

Actually, I wonder if Esat will make a move on NoLimits with this restructuring? Seriously, I don't know, I'm asking.

I wonder if they will /ever/ make a move on FRIACO negotiations?

Weren't you supposed to get cut down to 75 hours max or something similar?

BT have given Esat until the end of March to be profitable.

Don't know what they've threatened to do if it's not, but presumably this is some of the result.

    (edit)
Stand corrected by Boston below. 2003? Bit more reasonable that

No, there was some misinformation at the time of the great cutoff and people thought that if they stuck to 75hrs or less they would be allowed back on. It was believed a person on Esats support line said this and they were wrong but Esat decided to honour this.

I however didn't get one of the famous letters so I stayed online.

If Esat are planning on a proper adsl rollout I don't think they'll discontinue No Limits until adsl is ready, otherwise theres going to be so may more IrelandOffline supporters who'll be gunning for them.
