    Well Bard, the sites didn't fall over. In those stories, it showed how the sites were available to anyone who knew the IP address. Since the sites were still available in a way, I'd say that MS's lack of email during the dns blackout was more crippling.

    Ok so they didn't literally "fall over"... it's just a phrase. To be perfectly literally correct, they 'became unavailable for an extented period of time'.
