Yehp, Alias|Wavefront Maya is quite Flawless under Win2k.. as long as you have the RAM, GFX Card & CPU to run it

Ta lads, and chiefy what's min spec for running it. It's a mate using it and will be on 900mhz athlon 256mb and 32mb geforce mx so i assume it will be reasonably spritely.

I ordered a free Trial CD of Maya 3 from Alias Wavefront and it arrived on Monday.
Besides having a (save-disabled) trial version of the software, it also has some AMAZING demos and tutorials. Really impressive.

Anybody want to help me with a bank robbery to be able to afford the full version?

Anyway, minimum specs for the demo are:
Win NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4
or Windows 2000 Professional.
128 MB RAM
Mid- to High- performance OPenGL
3 button mouse (you'll need it for most things)

The specs you listed should give you a pretty good performance!

Canaboid laed.. that spec is absolutely grand, just watch out if he's using artisan.. the Gefarce card aint the best for it and u may have to switch off "Dual Plane" support as i believe the gefarce card doesnt hadle that well either.

ooh a quick update.. it seems that when using gefarce cards with the new "nvidia 7.17
drivers" almost any maya probs with Gefarce's are sorted.. NOice wan :O)
