im 21 got a 1.4 2005 golf sportsline.
its value 25k, and i have 2yrs no claims bonus on my name.and its costing me 1750 euro for fully comp with hibernaian but the main benifit is i can drive anyone elses car 3rd patry as i need that to drive my dads car.

jaysus this thread is 4 years old, whos the bright spark

you can see the differance in insurance premiums from back then to now. It was a total nightmare a few years ago for anyone starting out, its so much easier nowadays imo even though its still expensive. I payed 4609 for third party on a 1.4 focus in '02, I'm amazed looking back that I payed that much

All TPFT. Quinn Direct were also the easiest to deal with imo and their questions/policy conditions were fairly basic. The others barely stopped short of "what size is your penis? It all goes into our risk assessment formula". "Also you may only drive 6,000 miles per year and you can't eat pork".

My first car was a micra 1.0 and that was €3555 TPF&T (Quinn)
Then the Corolla last year which was €2200 TPF&T (Quinn)
Quinn quoted me 1800 TPF&T for this year and I went to Glennon insurance and I got 1580 fully comp which I think is fantastic!!
