maybe this isnt the right place to post this but...

i was browsing boards.ie on opera, first, a window kept asking me if i wanted to run scripts on the page? and then i kept getting a popup window, saying "virus alert, if you can see this crackerbox.exe is running on your system"

this was comming up every 10secs, so i checked task manager and there was something running called crackerbox.exe. i tried to do a quick search to see what this was, but i didnt find anything really.

does anyone know what it is and how it got on my machine?

btw i am running Win2k Pro incase that makes any difference

I'm afraid that my grasp of scandinavian languages isn't too hot, but if I understood the only hit google returned for this crackerbox.exe correctly, AdAware from Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/) will get rid of it.

Note: At time of checking, that site is down :(
