Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As reported in today's Irish Times the ICP 'not a racist organisation' according to Aine Ni Chonaill, are putting up two candidates in the election.

Ni Chonaill's going to stand in Dublin South Central, and some other guy is standing in Cork, where he'll be in good racist company if the Fianna Fail TD there gets in again :)

Hopefully this will bring home to them how little support they really have when they come in somewhere around the Natural Law Party and Socialist Worker candidates - I like how Ni Chonaill says she's not a racist then express disgust that 'Ireland is being turned into the labour ward of West Africa'

I agree with immigration control but I hope she falls flat on her arse.

Doesn't she live in Cork somewhere herself? I read that in the paper the other day, she had some guy in court for assaulting her.

I think she lives in Clare near Ennis, she is a racist and she will fall on her face but that won't stop her trying again, her sort never quit. They just cease to be credible (if they ever were).

Here's a Hot Press Article on the ICP. They don't seem to say anything that's radically different from views that are expressed here sometimes. I'm not racist but blah blah blah.

Just read the Hot Press piece. I think the point they are trying to make is that they are not racist in 'form', but I think they are in 'intent' (it's like carrying out a legal fraud).

Regardless of whether theyre racist or not our immigration laws should be reviewed. Its just a pity that the IPC is becoming the image people have of people who feel our immigration laws are a little too generous - Mind you i suppose anyone who is concerned about the abuse of our laws by immigrants (That 38% of births in some hospital in august was near unbelieveable- the reporter didnt counter it either) is going to get called racist.

Sand, it seems changing the laws for immigration and nationality are it seems a legal minefeild esp with reference to the Good Friday Agreement which turned the typical laws of nationality on thier head to placate Norn Iron nationists. ( ie your Irish by right even if not born in the state). And no, I don't think you're a racist! :)

You raise a good point Mike. I hadnt considered that aspect. Does anyone know how valid anyones claims under that "irish if you want to be" agreement would be ( I dont imagine it would be treated seriously but...) ? Considering the spirit of it?

/me huggles Mike! Finally somebody who doesnt think Im a goosestepping Hitler Youth cos I dont agree with the JPF!

If you're refering to Ni Chonaill's claim that 38% of births in Dublin's three maternity hospitals last August were to non-nationals, that claim was refuted by the Masters of all three hospitals, with evidence provided by their records.

Just proved my point made above. The ICP are not racist because they say they aren't, therefore people who claim that they dislike the ICP but nevertheless agree with its propaganda and tout it to support their viewpoint cannot possibly be racist.

Although Ni Chonailltends to be descibed as a racist actually she's not, she seems to be agin all foreigners regardless of the race or ethnicity. So she's an ultra-nationalist I suppose.

Not that thats any better proberly worse in fact!

    Mike.
