    lo lads

in work we have a hp laserjet 5 printer, it was on a jetdirect box, but it stoped working on that for some reasion?!?!? We were trying to set it up locily on a computer and then shar it out to other computers (only 5 need to use it) when you in the Administrator accout it works fine and eveyone can use it. but then you log in as a user, it wont work at all (over then network or for the person on the computer that it is hooked up to) we tryed to change the user permissions on the printer, so only the people that need it can use it (still nothing) everyone on the domain can use it(still nothing) and so on. any one got any ideas (besides making the users Administrator's) there all running win NT 4 with sp6

ps.... there all dell Optiplex Gx1 or Gx110

    thanks lads

    A coupla questions:
Is it appearing in the "Network Neighbourhood"?

Are you getting any error messages?

You shouldn't need to mess around with permissions. The defaults on installation are fairly liberal.

dunno if this is late, havent bothered reading the rest, but you can install it with the hp laserjet 4m drivers.
share our the printer while an admin and then anyone should be able to print as long as the system is on. just double click on printer in network neighbourhood and it should set up from your printer folder straight off....
