Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Goldfinger. (Picture Sean Connery with a laser pointed at his nuts.)

James Bond: "So, you expect me to talk?"

Ulrich Goldfinger: "No commander Bond, I expect you to die!"

Sigourney Weaver, in a big-ass walking forklift:

"Get away from her, you bitch!"

Trinity, laying down some slaps on an agent.

    Trinity - "Dodge this"

Jean Reno, Drinking milk, and looking cool doing so.
"Yes, I am free Tuesday" - Leon.

The bigger boat quote in Jaws is indeed a classic.

    Also included:

    "Surely you, can't be serious?"
"I'm perfectly serious, and don't call me Shirley" - Airplane.

"Would you like a game of chess?" - Wargames.

"Snakes, why does it always have to be snakes?" - Raiders of the lost Ark.

"Bunch of slack jawed faggots around here, one mouthful of this will make ya a goddam sexual tyrannasaurus, just like me". - Predator.

Pretty much anything said by any of the following:

    Sean Connery.
    Clint Eastwood.
    Bruce Cambell.

I have many, many others, and may post a few more as I recall them.

Another Jaws related one, this from Stakeout
"This wasn't caused by some boating accident".
While playing a trivia game Emilio Estevez to Richard Dreyfuss (the guy who originally said the line).

    And a completely different one

I think rather than be a tedious ****er, and quote Evil Dead over and over and over again... AND THEN SOME!!!
I'll post something a bit different...

    "Are you frightened?"
    "Yes..."
    "Not nearly frightened enough."

Aragorn - Lord Of The Rings

"I love these calm little moments before the storm..."
    Stansfield - Leon

    "Get me everyone..."
    "What do you mean 'everyone'?"
    "EVERYONE!!!"

    Stansfield - Leon

    "I'm The Dude!"
    Dude - Big Lebowski

"Donny, you're out of your element!"
    Waltor - Big Lebowski

"Nobody ****s with The Jesus! You come in here again, you flash your peice, I take it from you and stick it up your ass and pull the trigger until it goes *Click*!"
    Jesus - Big Lebowski

I could go on for pages and pages with Big Lebowski quotes, but I wont. Same could be said for LOTR, or Leon. :)
But I shall leave it at that for now.

Winston Zeddemore: What do you mean, big?

Doctor Egon Spengler: Well, let's say this Twinkie represents the normal amount of psychokinetic energy in the New York area. Based on this morning's reading, it would be a Twinkie thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds.

Winston Zeddemore: That's a big Twinkie.

    or

Doctor Peter Venkman: Back off man. I'm a scientist.

'Who do you think you are anyway? Coming to people's doors, seducing people's sisters. You should be locked up. You're unnatural pal. You're a freak. Go'n piss off. '

Gregory to an eight year old boy in Gregorys Girl.

'I just want to stay here for a while and watch the big lorries. Do you know that fifteen ton of cornflakes pass under this bridge every day? That's a well known fact.'

    Gregorys mate in Gregorys Girl

'Women weren't designed to play football. It's too tough, too physical.'
'Too tough - have you ever seen them play hockey? They're like wild animals. The red Indians invented hockey as a form of torture. They used to make the cowboys play the squaws.'
'****e - that was lacrosse. And besides, if women were meant to play football they'd have their tits somewhere else.'

    Gregory and his mate again.

But the finest ever is the Trainspotting quote...

'It's ****e being Scottish. We're the lowest of the low, the scum of the earth...I don't hate the English. They're just ****. We, on the other hand, are colonised by ****. It's a ****e state of affairs and all the fresh air in the world isn't going to change a thing about it.'

    Dum-dedumdum-dum-dedumdum-dum-dehtehdeh....

"I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a strait razor. That's my dream. It's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering along the edge of a strait razor... and surviving... But we must kill them. We must incinerate them. Pig after pig. Cow after cow. Village after village. Army after army. And they call me an assassin. What do you call it when the assassins accuse the assassin? They lie. They lie, and we have to be mericful for those who lie. Those nabobs. I hate them; I do hate them." - Martin Sheen - Apocalypse Now

an extension of the napalm quote:
"You smell that, you smell that? Napalm son , nothin else in the world smells like that, I love the smell of napalm in the morning. I remember one time we had a hill bombed. Other dude:"Wait a minute-this installation has a substantial dollar value."
Ripley:"They can bill me!" - Aliens

"All right, people, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the corps!" - Aliens

"My mommy always said there were no monsters, no real ones. But there are..." - Newt - Aliens

"You're all going to die. The only question is how you check out. Do you wanna go on your feet? Or down on your ****in' knees... beggin'?"
"Well I ain't much for begging! Nobody ever gave me nothing! So I say **** that thing! Let's fight it!" - Alien3

"Let me see if I've got this straight, Lieutenant: it's an 8-foot creature, some kind with acid for blood, kills on sight, and is generally unpleasant." - Alien3

The last line of one of my favorite movie death scenes:

    "I needed a light"

    Lump in my throat:

    "this is for <gulp> Matilda"

I bet noone gets this one:

    " "

This ain't a movie quote but it is sweet:

I like how you call homosexuality 'an abomination'. . . . Leviticus. . . . Chapter and verse. I wanted to ask you a couple of questions while I had you here. I'm interested in selling my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned by Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff, Leo McGarry, insists on working on the Sabbath. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important, 'cause we've got a lot of sports fans in this town. Touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean, Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made of two different threads? Think about those questions, will you? One more thing: while you may be mistaking this for your monthly meeting of the ignorant tight-ass club, in this building, when the President stands, nobody sits."

Just for the moment it creates, let's throw this one into the hat:

the moment in The Crow, during the (major) kill-fest in the gangsters' HQ where all goes quiet and suddenly you see Brandon Lee stand up and speak softly with nothing but him in frame, speaking to everyone, with everything and everyone focussed on him, with darkness all around him and nothing else to see, or even WORTH seeing or listening to, - he says:

    "You're all going to die..."

Then the moment passes and the bloodshed mayhem continues unabated :)

Somebody has to include Groucho Marx...

"One morning I shot an elephant in my pyjamas. How he got into my pyjamas I'll never know "

    Here it is:

Hello, my name is Innigo Montoya....you killed my father...prepare to die

Some more, starting with another Groucho quote:

"I never forget a face, but in your case I'll have to make an exception"

"You want the truth?....You can't HANDLE the truth!!"
(Nicholson's speech from A Few Good Men)

"...An entire LEGION of my best troops awaits them..."
(Emperor Palpatine, right before said legion of crack troops get their collective a$ses whooped by a bunch of spear-wielding Carebears)

"Ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?"

    -Batman

"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled, was convincing the world he never existed....and like that *puff*...he's gone"

-Verbal Kint's telling of an interesting story.

[edit] Jeeeez, can't believe I left this last one out:

"I've seen....things you people wouldn't believe....Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion....I watched C-beams(!) glitter in the darkness at the Tannhauser gate. All these...moments....will be lost in time....like tears, in the rain. Time...to die."

-Roy Batty contemplating his end in Bladerunner

    Occy
