in my opinion there can
only be one and that
has to go to DIE HARD

there is no competition
(except from all arnie films)

Any Jackie Cahn movie, not the big explosion movies everyone classes action as, but classic non stop action/fighting.

Ho hum, not really a huge fan of action films, all my favourites are pretty recent because I get bored of this type of film if I watch it more than once. The Matrix is possibly my favourite, but I liked MI-2 as well, and Gladiator, and also Face/Off. As an action movie, I thought MI-2 was very entertaining, but very shallow. The music in both the Matrix and MI-2 enhanced the whole experience, lots of nice pumping stuff for the action sequences.

i really like the Lethal Weapon series

i saw Metro the other night on Network 2 and thought that enjoyable viewing

Die Hards damn good I suppose, but I think its over-rated as The Best Action Movie Ever™

I really like Blade.
Die Hard is really cool too, as is the Matrix.
Predator was also good I think.
Is Pulp Fiction an action film? I didnt think it was, but I dunno what genre you would put it in.
I also think Terminator was better than T2, but both were really good.

Once Upon a time in China is good but not brilliant, how about Crouching Tiger ?

If you want John Woo films then look at Hard Boiled and The Killer.

Die Hard rox, seen it so many times but it's still watchable when it's on telly. Predator is another classic, lurve it. But I think Under Siege and Marked For Death are lethal.

[2] Aliens 1 & 2 (2 just better than 1 imo, love those drop ships and pulse rifles)
[3] T1 & T2 (both great cant decide)
[4] Predator (more classic arnie)
[5] Rambo: First Blood (sequals ruined its rep, a classic)
[6] Robocop (did nobody mention this!)
[7] Die Hard 3 (willis and jackson work very well)
[8] True Lies (anyone else think this was very nice?)
[9] Total Recall (the plank again)
[10] Blade Runner (was this action? or Sci-Fi?)
