Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Originally they said it was coming out around the same time as LOTR. They later decided to release it before Attack Of The Clones just like they did with the last Star Wars. I'd say it'll be out early June.

    I think it was delayed cos Aaliyah died before she shot her parts in the film. They had/have to replace her.

    i thought aaliyah was going to be in the third film, apparently they replaced her with Samantha Mumba... should be funny

    The film was (apparently) delayed due to the deaths of two cast members; namely Aaliyah and the older woman who plays the oracle (heart attack).

    Since filming had already begun this caused problems needless to say.

    last I heard was end of this year/sometime into 2003

    some one said Aaliyah only had a small part in the 2nd one i think and that her parts had been finished.

    Yeah she did only have a small part i think. But her part in the third one was going to be bigger and they couldn't have a character just changing between the movies.So they reshot her parts in the second one with whoever is going to play that character in the third

    drews script o rama had the working script for 2/3 but its since been taking down.....and my god if you read it...you will know we are in for a good fecking time!

    Well, as far as I know, there being filmed back-to-back. So it wouldn’t matter which film she was supposed to be in.

    A mate of mine said the matrix two wont be out until around may of next year, 2003 and then 3 would be out in december or so.
    This cant be true can it ?

    Exactly. Also heard the rumour regarding Samantha Mumba. I'm hoping it isn't true. At least Aaliyah could act (from what I've seen). Mumba just has the most annoying head in the world. As far as I can tell though Jada Pinkett Smith (yes, wife of Will Smith) is set to play the character Aaliyah was meant to (Niobe).

    The "Anime" version of Matrix is on the way aswell, can't remember if it was meant to be released after Matrix 2 (Matrix Reloaded), or 3 (Matrix Revolutions).

    Easy tiger. In your opinion she was of low to average talent. She wrote + sang a huge chunk of the soundtrack of Romeo Must Die and then acted in the film. And imho she got the job done.
