I have currently made 10 hip-hop compilations, the only thing to do now is pick the best off each one and make a supreme compilation

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,638 ✭✭✭bombidol

the only thing about compilations is that even if you make a great once full of super tunes you nearly always end up skipping tracks to get to 3 or 4 particular songs.

yeah that's true. It's also almost impossible to make the greatest comp ever coz you are gonna get sick of some songs. Or have left out songs that you were sick of but now really like again

im surprised nobody has slagged off my compilation list, cause of all the new stuff on it. A lot of arm chair critics dont seem to like living in the present and would slag new bands now and love them in 6 months.

All that system of a down is cheating if it's a compilation album

    Ok then...

    Just out of spite! :p

That is a ****ing ****E compilation!
Union Underground are one of the worst bands of recent years, and they aren't worth the money that'd be made if we used their bodies as land fill.

In fact, just about the only good song on there is the Rammstein one!
And, apart from that, nothing on there is actualy "Dark".

    Happy now?

    REM - Shiny Happy People

Looped on the tape for the entire 90 mins.

This is the most recent one I made....

Weezer - Island in the Sun
    System(OAD) - Chop Suey
    Chino XL - No Complex
Smashing Pumpkins - Try Try Try
    Pearl Jam - Alive
    Jeff Buckley - Lilac Wine
    System(OAD) - Sugar
Rory Gallagher - The Mississippi Sheiks
    The Strokes - Barely Legal
    Foo Fighters - Febuary Stars
    Pearl Jam - Glorified G
    Cypress Hill - Trouble
    Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye
    System(OAD) - Marmalade Boy
    Jimi Hendrix - Izabella
    Afroman - Cold45

...some of those songs were really just space fillers, but on a whole its a top CD. Sounds well when played start-to-finish.

Makaveli, you have more or less the same taste in music as i have, i like most of the stuff there (although, theres far better mos def tracks).Looking at yer nick i thought you'd be a tupac, eminem, ludacris geek. I've made about 6 pause mixtapes (meaning they're not actually mixed) but im making proper mixtapes now, i just need some practice on the ones and twos. Sinus, the secret to a good all-round tape is to mellow it off towards the end. You'll find that with alot of albums the louder tracks are always at the start/middle of the album. I can post a hiphop mixtape to anyone that wants it btw :D . I even make l33t covers.

If I had it, it would have gone on. I was running a bit short of ideas at the end, hence Tsunami.

i know theres not much variety in that one, its just im on a big SOAD buzz at the moment and i threw that list together in like 2 mins, but most of it is all "Get you going music" for skating.
I have another one with some Clash And pennywise and stuff on it too floating around my mp3 player at the moment.
