Anyone have any new bands that we should be listening to, underground stuff not bands that are played on Mtv or kerrang or anything like that, bands we have never heard of from all over the world.

I HIGHLY recommend a Boston Band called GAGE, check out their stuff at http://www.xclaim.com/gage/ If its heavier stuff you like download SPORT if easier stuff is your thing then get INCENSED
    but check em out.

    Who else??

Some of my favorite artists ouside of Ireland that get little recognition from the media.

    U.S.A.

    Irish In NY
for some reason the vast majority of good artists in NY are Irish (not that im biased) two of my favorites

Sinus mentioned and I give a stong second to....
    Mr North
    http://www.mrnorth.net
    http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/134/mr_north.html
excellent musicians great rich rock music superb vocals and one hell of a drummer.
Dubliners, a personal favorite. Some truly powerful shows lately.

...and at the other end of the NY Irish spectrum

    Mark Geary
    http://www.markgeary.com/
fine singer songwriter - played support for The Frames in NY and Asbury Park
will be on tour in Ireland with Glan Hansard soon, some quality downloads on his website. All around class.

    ...actual American bands
the US contrary to popular belief produes more than manu-pop nu-metal, and retro-punk

    Jets to Brazil
    http://www.jetstobrazilonline.com
    Got their Start in NYC
    Fine Rock band - Quality

    ATHENAEUM
    http://www.athenaeum.net/
    solid band - no play
North Carolina - major label but no marketing

    Jump. Little Children
    http://www.jumplittlechildren.com/
excellent band - sort of an artschool Radiohead meets James?
American but started their carreer in Ireland singing Irish Gaelic.
dropped by their major just prior to releasing their new album "Vertigo" a really fine album that has gone un-recognized by the masses.

    CANADA
    ...is more than Barenakedladies

    The Tragically Hip
    http://www.thehip.com/
    hardly new but definitely underrecognized
    one of Canada's finest.

    Moist
    http://www.sfn.saskatoon.sk.ca/~aa120/moist.htm
yet another quality rock band lost in the overmarketed world of trendy genre-specific music

    ENGLAND
    moving beyond Oasis and Radiohead....

    The Music
    http://www.themusic.uk.com/
    good psychadelic rock band

    The Now
    http://mysite.freeserve.com/thenow/index.htm
    http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/151/the_nowuk.html
    ...and another

I would recommend Skindive, i think they are amazing and have seen them twice.
The album is quality and i just cant understand why they aren't more successful than they are.
The lead singer Danielle Harrison is a babe aswell.

    Clik for the Skindive site.

Dam right Panda, saw them twice at Witness last year
One of the best gigs of the weekend.
The lead singer is down right Sexy, she's good lookin too!

'Pedro the Lion'(It aint real heavy but its good(melodic guitar rock)
'Petter and the test tube babies" (Punk grrr)
    'Propagandhi "(hard core punk)
"Mock Orange"(punk a bit like the Vandals guitar speaking that is)
"The Dead Milk Men"(they just rock, with humour!)
"Drive By Truckers" ( cow punk)

Anyway don't know how much of interest that is to anyone but There all quality band .
