Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Whos news do you trust?

When the chips are down and its a time of crisis which channel do you go to first beliving it will tell you what you need to know in an accurate clear fashion.

Me, I'm a BBC man myself with TV3 coming in last by a country mile.

Usually hit a bunch of online sites and Slashdot for mainstream news. Slashdot worked pretty well on S-11. More or less uncensored (but the problem with that is obiously loads of people making stuff up..........but they probably can't *all* be doing that).

If i seen / heard about something of interest i'd usually watch the news on RTÉ, Network 2 and TV3, usually get different spin's on the same story then i put my own analysis on it :) ; woundn't bother with SkyNews

But doesn't a lot of these newsfeeds come from just a small few organisations anyway, like Reuters and their like ?

Begin conspiracy and paranoia, all these news organisations put a spin on things. Unless you can see unedited footage these people can't be classed as 100% truthful.

The BBC is good for international news but the minute they start reporting on Ireland or Northern Ireland I can't believe it.

I always remember when British boxer Barry McGuigan was winning and the reports on the BBC about him, I also remember when British Cyclist Stephen Roche won the Tour De France......
