Connection time

Since I have had to get rid of my ISDN and am now back on 56k I have noticed that it takes age's to log on. Like the User Name and Password goes fast enough, but then it sits there for over a minute b 4 it logs on. Is there a reason for this? Manic

i dont have logon ticked in the Dial Up Properties..have u tried removing the tick?

i find oceanfree and DOL to be the quickest to connect to.
probably takes about 15 - 20 seconds once ppp has picked up.
