jumpy mouse in xwindows...

    not a serious problem, but an annoying one...

    running Redhat 7, with an intellimouse explorer; the cursor periodically jumps all over the screen in xwindows, randomly opening things.

    should I look for new drivers?

    yes but it is going through a ps2 adapter.

    Try change your mouse to a generic one and see what happens. use
    setup at the console.
