    What kind of backbone fibre does ireland hav to the internet? I'm particularly interested in the connectivity between ireland and the rest of europe.

    US (MCI Worldcom/Dante): 45Mbps (DS3 ATM)
    US (UUnet): 45Mbps
    UK mainland line (to London): 34Mbps (E3)
    and a backup line similar to above.

    well you could try www.inex.ie but thats not very helpful.
    www.hea.net has statistics (and a nice map) for all the major lines, as well as their own connections.
