    Got a call from Gamesworld to say that the retail price has been increased to €279.99, anyone else heard about this?

    Its not a huge increase, i still dont know what price the games are.

    the SRP is €60 for games afaik.

    Nintendo's SRP for the console hasn't changed. If Gamesworld are selling it higher, that's just Gamesworld - ultimately it's the retailers who are the bad guys here, they're demanding huge margins on hardware the same as they do on software, and that's just not how the industry is meant to work...

    There was an interesting article on retailers in a recent Edge issue actually. Went on about how much is costs publishers to get a game in stores and how they pretty much have to submit to any demands the big retailers make. And this was before the UK retailers decided to add on another £15 to the price of the GC.

    It doesn't appear to be a healthy position for the developers, publishers or the consumers - retailers are forcing prices up and making it unfeasable for publishers to get the smaller titles (Rez, for example) onto store shelves.

    How about the 10K just to feature in the catalogue with the alterative being that they wont stock your game, talk about tyranny.
