Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This woman annoys me immensely, every time she speaks she seem to do so as if she speaks for the entire irish people.

She about as connected to the true views of the irish people as the queen is the english.

Is it time to put this old cow out to pasture?

I've been saying this for the past twelve years. Unfortunately she's one of the sacred cows of Irish "liberalism".

    I'm with you two!

When elected she seemed like a breath of fresh air, but then her tone, her hands and the way all mna na erin bowed before her
really pissed me off. I can't bear to be in the same room as her
even if it is only on the telly....

    Mike.

Any examples of what you mean?

I have only heard her speak as UN High Commissioner in the last few years and, imho, she is very capable in that position. She does no harm at all to the image of Ireland abroad.

her comments on the nice treaty were prime examples, i dont have the quotes here, but they really got up my nose.

the thing is, being in the un, to many countries, especialy european ones shes what they think of when they think of here, they view her as someone with the authority, which she isnt
