Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Jaws, it's a classic.Unfortunately however it was cheapened by brutal sequels.

Have to be Close Encounters which I saw at the flicks as a 14 year-old, a couple of weeks after seeing StarWars (which had been a real disapointment.) CE3K on the other hand changed the way I thought about - no not UFOs'- movies! and what could be acheived with special-effects and music. Pity about the so called Special-Edition which was no such thing...

mine has always been E.T. ever since I saw it first. It's probably one of the first movies I saw and I've never looked back. Years later when I thought about it I realised it brought a new meaning to friendship. Duel was pretty good for a first attempt. Then you'll always have the fantastical Jones Trilogy

Don't usually go for Spielberg movies - especially if they're PG.

But JP is one of my favs - because of its groundbreaking cgi which was used sparingly to great effect.

Also enjoyed AI and Schindler's List for being untypical of his work.
