Was anyone at that Ascent thing in Whelan's last Tuesday? Just wondering what any of you thought of the bands that were on. I thought it was a really good night.

yeah i was there, twas good alright, John Hegarty has really changed his sound, playing with a band, i thought they were great... Paul O'Reilly's new project (the big green... or something?) got onstage and proceeded to jam for 20-25 mins which was interestingly noisy, but good... all else was fairly bland indie pants... that drag queen MC'ing the night was really weird tho...
