    it aint that bad
    BUT
i have the mis-fortune of owning the stereophonics first album and the guitar riff on the hindu times is the exact same as a song called same size feet, some things never change...........

Yeah..........I noticed that as well, COMPLETE RIP OFF......although it actually sounds ok. It just scraped into the Tom Dunnes Petsounds chart at no. 10 last week.

It's okay.......as with most Oasis stuff it has you thinking "where have I heard that before?"........that's one thing about Noel Gallagher as a songwriter, he has no problem about using the most obvious chords changes and melodies.

still it's amazing to see how irrelivant they've become in such a short time...it took The Stones and Led Zeppelin twice as long.

It's safe to say if this Oasis album dosen't ignite the masses they may as well call it a day......probably will

now the wait goes on until Prince put's out another great album....come on Diamonds & Pearls was 10 years ago

They'll probably get into number one though,
not that it's a sign of a good song or talanted musicans.

Sure six got a number one for some reason
and the're ugly too, so Oasis are in for a very good chance.

Thats just a stupid comment to make.

the amount of records you sell has no bearing on how good a band are. if that were the case, then six would be a far greater band then (insert your favourite band here). oasis haven't released anything of worth since definately maybe, and even then it was only midly interesting.

so you're *not* saying that high sales = quality act? right.

Well, it's a darn sight better than anything on the new Gomez album. Now that is a grade A shi t sandwich of an album. Avoid at all costs.

I saw Oasis at he point during the 'Be Here Now' tour,
    1996 I think it was.
    I thought is was awful.
I think I can remember Liam mooning the crowd.
But the high-light was defo the inflated
condoms (not supplied by Oasis, I might add)
    now that was fun!!!

have to say daveirl, i've been too many gigs over the years and
oasis at landsdown 2000 was the worst. my judgement could be
influenced by the amount of dic kheads in the crowd but the band
were shi te. i don't often go to see an act i'm not mad about but
when i do i usually get in the buzz and there was no buzz to get at that one.

heard the single once - crap on the first listen. they've little appeal these days but he probably does deserve credit for the
catalogue of fine tunes he's written over the years - can't argue
with that. their sound was never original but his method of
rehashing melody and chords took a talent that most writers
don't have, but i think i'll keep him in the past-tense.
now who's the has-been mr. gallacher???
