N64 question

I'm looking for some fun N64 multiplayer game suggestions.

I am not interested in Zelda or any form of platform-game. Karting and FPS games, in general, I find to be utter pants, probably cause I mostly end up comparing them to real racing and pc-based FPS games.

    So - any suggestions.

For reference, I only play one game on the N64, and thats Mario Tennis. Basically, its simple, and a good laugh when played with 2 or 4 people.

I have a copy of 1080 lying around, and occasionally take it off the shelf for some snowboarding, but find it doesnt hold my attention for more than 30 minutes.

    Any suggestions?

    jc

Yeah Pod racer Star wars is pretty good, never played with 4 players, not sure if it is possible.

Is Rogue Squadron possible with more than one player Leprachaun? I thought I tried that and it didn't work.

No. It's still good though, with a long single player, and you won't always have people to play with.

If you're buy an N64 game, almost anything made by nintendo would be a good bet.

Personally I think the ps1 has more varied multi-player games that n64 doesn't have-for example sports games, racing games and some great party games. All you need is your multi-tap and your made.

smash bros (mashing pikachu = good stress relief for weeks on end)
Golden Eye or Perfect Dark (GE is a classic, and PD has some nice additions and a better single player)
Mario Kart ( you said you dont like this game? blasphemy!!)
No Mercy or Wreslemania (wrestlemania has better create a charecter, but no mercy has some nice features.both will last for months multi player tho)
