jUST started looking through the new bullitan boards thread
thing , well new to me anyway , thought it was pretty interesting
and that i had found a whole new library of boards posts and things anyway i was generally happy when i came across
a post for
" CHILD PORN "

i MEAN HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WHAT THE F@#& IS THAT VILE S#$^ DOING ANYTHING NEAR
THE BOARDS , I AM SO DISGUSTED AT EVEN THE SIGHT OF IT
I MEAN IS THAT SECTION NOT MODERATED AT ALL

i know ,i know you cant stop people posting but seriosly that
is going to far there has to be something done .
i realy feel so strongly disgusted at the moment.

i mean if it is a case that , that whole section is just open to any
sort of trash or sick perverts them please show me a way so i never have to look at it again without having any smart answers
about just not going there or going to boards ar all because i
would not to do that thank you very much

I'd say you have the wrong end of the stick. I've been here a while now and I think it's safe to say that if anyone posted that sick stuff on here then they would be pounced on by the whole lot of us nd not just the Admins and Mods.

Maybe it was just a Topic where people were complaining about it.
I would be very shocked to find that stuff here.

That's what I assumed. A post named 'child porn' more than likely has been started on he Humanities board at some point. I would be shocked too. A URL would be handy, searches reveal no threads with that in the title.

That's spam sent to the newsgroup section. This is not moderated. Boards.ie merely provides a gateway to some sections of the Usenet feed.

Much like it provides the chat function which connects to the quakenet IRC network.

As amp says, we have no control over this content, it isnt posted from here and we cant halt it here. I totally agree with you though, its up to each of us to protect children from predators.

As ever, most of the boards regulars would jump on anyone posting such material and they would be banned and reported to the police without question.
