Smart links in IE or what?

I have IE 5.00(26.....) browser on win98SE and since recently
(well 2 months ago or so) I suddenly find some of the rendered
text in the browser has been underlined with a yellow underline
solid line with thin black borders. The sort of keywords which
are underlined are mostly to do with tax, credit cards and
other financial words. Bizarrely the word anthrax also was
underlined at one stage (haven't tried it in a while--- I noticed
it when browsing news sites in October/November when
a lot of the news stories mentioned that word).

SO question is ... are these some smartlinks which I can
disable? It would appear that the browser was automatically
patched or something to include this annoying featrure.
I thought that M$oft were going to put such a feature into
IE 6 but pulled it at the last moment due to possible
    backlashes,etc.

    Any ideas folks?

You probably have that trojan thingy. Do a search on tech board.

I did indeed once have kaZaa installed. Dumped it a few
months ago though. Whats the significance of Kazaa
(I can guess.... I assume like mIrc there are all sorts
of nasty backdoor wormholes in it).

I'll to a google search to see. Hopefully there is
    an antedote,etc.

I am definitely going to install one of those free
personal firewall thingies and update my v/checker.

If you'd followed the link and read some of the sites, you'd know. I would've thought that was obvious...
