I don't actualy quite understand your question, Sky Digital is avaible in ROI, but you'd be best posting your post here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=55

Sky+ is Sky's version of Tivo OJ (actually, it is Tivo), which is essentially cable + DVR. Very cool stuff, I reckon I'll switch to Sky when it hits Ireland. Screw Chorus. (I think it's their turn.)

You can see a demo here (Sky+ demo).

this is only anecodotal but there seems to be a general opinion
that the Sky+ setup as introduced in the UK is overpriced or
at least perceived as so. The general opinion seems to be that
the marketing of it kinda backfired on Sky. TiVo is meant to
    be pretty cool.

Talking of TiVO does anyone on *this* forum know anything
about PVR software such as snapstream which in combination
with a PC TV receiver can apparently turn your computer into
an MPEG hard-disk video recorder with the TiVo-like facilities
such as pausing live TV,etc? I have one of those Pinnacle USB
TV/AV-input devices and a Pentium III 500MHz laptop and was
wondering if it might be up to toying with such technology.
Perhaps the disks on the laptop might be a tad too slow.
    Thinking aloud.... any ideas?

Nobody has really answered the question I asked originally and that was: When will BSkyB introduce their TiVO box into ROI?
Can you use any other TiVO box in ROI?

Is this subject being discussed anywhere else?
