If you _really_ want to do something about it and you get a lot of spam you can report the problem. If its only the odd spam mail this might be more trouble than its worth but....
Check the extended headers of the mail and find out what ip address it was sent from. Itll look something like this....(One I received earlier so just follow the same steps with your spam)
(This differs from client to client but its usually in the properties section of the offending mail)

You can use this information (And this part should not be all weird characters, the headers should be ledgible) to find out where the mail originated. (The last server mentioned before the 'To:' field.
In this case it is zerg.codec.ro (0-1pool1-172.nas1.los-angeles1.ca.us.da.qwest.net
[63.233.1.172])
This is a microsoft exchange server thats most likely running an open relay. I tried to check for this but they seem to be a dial up customer and are not online at the moment.
A quick check on.....

gives me the contact details of the ISP involved on their end......

Their website, www.qwest.net tells you to send the offending mail (with the full headers as shown above) to abuse@qwest.com. (http://www.qwest.net/nav4/help/your_acct/abuse_rpt.html)
Send em a mail saying that you are getting loads of spam mails from this machine and you would appreciate it if they would get their customer to stop
A week later we can all rejoice that theres now 1 less open relay spam spewing server in the world.....now, only a cpl of million to go 0 -
