MP3, Are they legal?

i don't get this. the boards find it perfectly alright to post up links for kazaa . so people can donwload mp3 and stuff. most of the stuff that you get off these sites are illegal. and have warez on them too. but anything to do with cracks and warez sites are forbidden. what is going on??? kazaa is just one big warez…

As far as I'm concerned (And I don't give too sh1t's about all the lega tosh), any copyrighted music I knowingly store as mp3'z or any other format without ownership of a legally obtained copy, is illegally held, and I'm concequently in breach of the law.

So looks like the Gardaí will just have to come and lock me up.

Is copying cd's as wav files illegal??

My sound card doesn't work with XP so I lost my MP3 ripper and now I'm stuck with Media Player. That will only copy music as Media wave files.
