music and Radio Forums

This has been suggested twice, the first time I was told it was a good idea but nothing was done and the second time someone else suggested it and I think it was ignored.

I'm posting it for a final time since the mad fm forum is closed the free radio section is looking pretty empty, I don't think many will use the "free radio forum" given that there is a already a music/radio forum which is far from inundated with discussions directly about radio.

Why not make a music/radio dropdown menu with the following forums: music/radio, xfm, Phantom FM and possibly featuring a new Gigs/Events forum (for people to post when their band is playing, as well as general discussion about gigs/clubs etc)?

I was thinking about that too for the dance forum.. throw that forum in while you're at it..

If you are looking for a new Mod I would like to apply for the position of Gigs/Events forum moderator. If you need refrerences I can show u my box of ticket stubs (over 1600 now - from all over the world and I have actually been to the gigs!!).

There is one problem here that we need to look at before reorganising. Music / Radio lies in the main forums (Bulletin Boards. The Free Radio forums are Community Boards and so far the two sections have been separated. I'll think on this...

It may be that we need two main categories - Music / Radio (for the old and new Music / Radio stuff and Free Radio forums) and Films / TV (for the Films / TV and ICDG stuff). I've created Music / Radio for now anyway, and moved the old Mad Radio FM posts to Music / Radio forum.

I propose you change the name of the "dance" bit in Music/Radio to "electronic music".

Dance music is just a subset of electronic music, also the word "Dance" looks a bit silly.
