Just a short question. Do search engines index, (that is list) files with the file extension .asp

If they do are they more/ less/ no difference search engine friendly than standard .html files

If its just an asp page with no server variables then you shouldn't have any problems.

On the other hand if you've got something like

    default.asp?id=7897889&cat=789

the search engines tend not to crawl these pages unless they are specifically linked from the home page.

The only sure-fire solution is to hand-submit these types of pages to searchers like Goolge and AV.

This applies to php pages aswell.

They won't rank as well as .htm/.html extensions, if ranking is important, use a "tranlation" script.
