yeah, when the first announcement of who was playing witnness was revealed on this very msg board i saw alot of people saying "oh my god all those bands are so ****, i'm off to the oz fest" well,i'm here to speak for the people who don't wanna see **** bands moaning about how they hate there parents, and over weight middle aged idiots laughing at how much money they're making by staging a half arsed festival.
witnness is gonna be **** cool!!! brilliant bands, brilliant weather lot's of beer and thousands of like minded people!!! what more could a person want???
well this person wants nothing more than that, well i wouldn't mind one billion dollars,500 million in marked bills, 500 in unmarked bills, apart from that nothing.......
    ROLL ON WITNNESS!!!!!!!!!!! WOWCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You probably will end up playing.

As with last year, a rake of Irish acts were informed with about a week to go that they were playing. Of course, all 'sharing the stage with so and so' dreams were shattered when the vast majority of the Irish acts were stuck in a tent half the size of Whelans, at the far corner of the festival site beside the jacks.

Even so, the campaign starts here: email MCD demanding fair treatment of Irish acts and a slot for some good ones (The Revs need not apply). Darragh Purcell - for it is he, the be-quiffed one, the former TV star who likes shoes - is doing most of the booking for Witnness.

Tell him Maud Frickerd sent ya...

Heehee y'know what all this prediction lark over witnness is really reminding me of??

it's like the weeks before the leaving cert! when people are sure they know what's coming up coz they have all these "connections" and everyone gets in a tizzy and no one believes anyone else and really nobody will ever be sure until it's over!

I'm not taking the piss, just amused is all.

    I'll be quiet now.

    yeah right
