CTYI actually for talented people?

is the CTYI actually for talented people?. Or do people go on it due to the fact daddy is the local GP and knows a senator up the road? How would one go about going on one of these sessions? Surely they don't let just anyone in? *(no offense is to be taken by anything in this post)

it can be really hard to like someone in a position of authority at times like the site director, but feargal is cool, i prob have a different opinion of him cos i was a student when he was an ra and then i was an ra when he was site director. there is a lot of crap to deal with when you're in a position of responsibility and u can't please everyone.

and colm rocks!!! to me he is a huge part of ctyi, he's been involved so long and knows what the whole thing is about. and he's sorted out my jobs for the summer with ctyi. he's a great guy
