UTV's version of NoLimits is FLAWED!!
i read the whole terms and conditions and it says that bandwidth must not exceed 250mb per month so theres no need to look at that option.
personally i think it should be £10 for every 1000 meg. that way the "over-users" pay for further expansion of services. why don't they refuse to connect the low users and make us priority.

250MB a month?!!!?!!!
Are they insane?
250MBs per day = grand.
250MBs per week = fair enough I'll go easy.
250MBs per month = ok, I'll check my mail then log off.

Just to expand on that...

250MB / 30Days = 8.3MBs per day
You could easily run that up in under an hour by just browsing the web.

or...

250MB / 10MB per hour(high-avg) = 25 hours per month?
That's even worse than Esats 75 hours per month.

Apart from that, their ISDN TA Banks are crap, anyone on IDSN set up an account and try it, its ~ok~ for browsing, but crap for games etc.

I typed a large response, but damned f*ckin esat cut me off, god knows what happened next but its gone. So all I'll say is read:

http://www.utvinternet.com/support/aup.asp

It says 250mb limit on bandwidth for the site, nothing else - you can get there from the "acceptable use policy" on the "terms & conditions" page on any of the two flatrate packages listed on www.utv.ie

From the end of the above document:

"Excessive use shall be deemed to equal 25Mb of external bandwidth usage in a given day, 100Mb in a given week and 250Mb in any given month; an"

25Mb a day! How are you supposed to download programs? Some browsers are bigger than this.

this is ****ing me off.
why don't people properly read the terms and conditions?

first of all its under a heading marked:
Acceptable use of free WWW space
that tell you anything?

and second:

UTV Internet will require sites that they, at their sole discretion, consider to show excessive use to be modified or removed. Excessive use shall be deemed to equal 25Mb of external bandwidth usage in a given day, 100Mb in a given week and 250Mb in any given month;

You beat me to it Kali, i read this post earlier but didn't have time to post a reply.
I don't mean to be patronising, but to think that an isp would limit you to 250Mb's a month, is just ridiculous!
Monkeys sitting at a computer just messing about would download more than 250Mb's a month! biggrin.gif

Guys, nothing is finalised with their service yet. It wont launch untill late 2001, early 2002. They have to wait for thier phone provider to get properly set up in the republic before they can offer the service.
