    hello,

apols to all who arrived after 12 last night to find no jedi night.

This was because Doyles management pulled the plug on us following 9-11pm being quiet.

Jedi was advertised as running to 1.30am, and we were given assurances by the venue that an extension was provided as well as a decent beer promotion.

Suffice to say Doyles didn't follow through and broke those assurances - as a result people were turned away at midnight.

Doyles were concerned with the till not being filled up with cash even though there was a healthy crowd starting to arrive post-Gomez.

Because Jedi is a free admission event and the DJ's are not paid, Doyles have a minimal outlay on putting the event on every week.

We at Jedi are currently reviewing our arrangements with Doyles and are actively looking for an alternative venue to put on Jedi as a free admission, free DJ's event.

We resent having people who make the effort to support the 'independent' scene and jedi night - fellow music lovers - to be dicked around by people who just don't care and renege on commitments and promises.

Thanks for your support over the previous 10 weeks, we shall return - return of the jedi (Boom Boom)!!!!!!

Support the scene - keep it real.

    Jim and Dave @ Jedi
