Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Op-Flash board

    i hate to bring this up again (well actually i dont)

    but why isnt there an op-flash board?
    as far as i can see its just as popular as Tribes and with all the constant upgrades for it and loads of people make their own missions and some even make full campiagns boards would be the perfect place for people to share these maps and to tell each other where to get the upgrades and stuff,

    pleeeeaase?:(

    ill give ye some MARS bars!!!1

    it might be an idea to sort the games like when you mouseover the link on top of the page the boards.ie one and then mouseover bulletin boards you get another menu. couldnt something linke that be done for games. by this i mean half-life a main and then its sub trees as dod and cs or what ever. just an idea. probly not practical

    I think its pointless. Its not like the games board is overflowing with Op Flash posts now is it?

    Yeah, we've become reluctant to give boards to specific games. about the only likely exceptions will be MMORPG's as they really do have an online community. Most other games wouldnt support a board about them.

    Make that 4 and I agree with logic and bitchin with the point about it being as big as trides and it is a very good game. Also the thought of mars bars sound very interesting to me...........Mmmmmmmm Mars Bars!!!1

    I'd moderate it, certainly have the time, net-connection and interest.
    I've read Dev's theses on "How to be a better Mod" too :)

    As for the games baords not being overflowing with posts, that's only true at the moment, a few months ago there were quite a few, and that's not counting the odd couple that pop-up in Game Editing and Wargames from time to time.
    The sub-tree drop down menu idea is worth a shot, though would it interfere with the menus immediately adjacent to it?

    When GalwayWAN gets going this summer I've every intention of hosting a OPFlash server at home. Have 360+Megs of addons, missions, campaigns and islands (and 1 mod) ready for any LAN i showup at.
    Just about the only reason it hasn't taken off like CS/HL is cos it has a slightly expanded control system that lets you control vehicles properly and people (kiddies reared on CS mainly) can't be arsed to take 5 mins to become familiar with the controls.
    Well....that and the fact it needs a v.good 56k or single channel ISDN connection :p
