Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

envelope is the physical answer. Eye if yer looking for a word

BTW as for the circle question - you can say 1 side if yer refering to the actual line itself or if refering to the circle you can say 2 sides - inside and outside.

    Cause he's playing Monopoly.

As for the monkies in the square room - the answer would be 0, if you wanna take the "monkeys cant talk" answer, or 15 otherwise (cause a "square room" has 8 corners - 4 on the ground, 4 at the roof.)

    Bah, yes monopoly

Inside outside was the answer I was looking for.
For the hole one, the extra 3' was me not paying attention to what I was writing.
The monkey one is none coz they cant talk.
Bonkey there may be corners at a ceiling but you cant sit upside on it or in mid-air.

I cant think of any more riddles.

Bonkey can't, but monkies might! :) But bonkey, while the ceiling has 4 corners and the floor has 4 corners, the room only has 4 corners (would you count the 4 corners on the door and the 16 on the walls?). :p

well concidering there are 12 months in a year, both answers are the same!!!!!!!

but to be honest that is what threw me at the beginning!!! i was waiting to see the word all of them instead of a number!!!!!!!

Not quite, the question is open ended and since the adotpion of the Gregorian (western) calender, every month has had at least 28 days. So 12 doesn't reflect the whole answer :)

Ok not to sound like a broken record here but please look at my reply directly under those original questions.
It's a quote of the riddles with the answers under them.
I believe I wrote "All of them".

Um how about you think about it as a riddle before you deside that its a stupid statment?
not that it was ment as a riddle at the time.
in a moral and logical sense how is God more evil than the Devil...
give me a while and i'll phrase a riddle about it.
also no need to take it to hart so much ... and you've sort of taken it out of context ... as it followed the point about the poor not having nothing ...

I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball
    [What am I]
    The beginning of eternity
The end of time and space
    The beginning of every end,
And the end of every place.
    [What am I]

They're not that hard but I like riddles that are sorta poetic...

Like "Are you dead?" - you could say yes, you would just be lying about it. :)

Your trans-sexual husband had an adulterous, gay, incestuous relationship with his trans-sexual brother with the same name, that resulted in a baby girl!!!! That they called Andrew! Thats not genetically possible ;)

What would have been wrong with Andrea?

They are all well and good but the problem with ours is that they can all be answered yes to. Nothing is stopping the person from lying or giving a false anwser. I presume there is one question that cannot physically be answered by "yes"......I would think anyway.

well what is the opposite of yes? i think is a deffinate although one may lie it is false so doesnt count?

    dont you agree?

Thats my point...there is loads of answers where "yes" can't be said because it would be a lie or an untruth. What I am saying is that there is probably a question that cannot have an answer "yes" ie impossible for it to be "yes".
Maybe something along the lines of -
"If you attempt to answer "yes" to the next question then the sensors we have on your brain will detect it before u can say it and a razor blade will cut your vocal cords" :)

    Anyways...it doesn't matter. :p

Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday have a little one

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 198 ✭✭EL_Diablo

One question where yes cannot be the answer is "What time is it?"
The letter S is the answer to the days of the week one.

What is the one word in the English language that when capitalized takes on an entire different meaning?

I'm sure there are many. "Death" (the persona) and "death" (the event) would be an example.

    Polish
    polish

Entirely different when capitalized whereas "death" and "Death" more or less refer to the same thing
