Phantom Blind Dates.

last sunday i texted the 2 petes telling them of my idea, of phantom blind dates!! i got the idea while listening to all the texts from lovelorn teenagers looking for love.
two people could be picked out of a hat and brought to phantasm for a fantastic night out, and then they could tell them what they thought about eachother live on air,on the 2 petes talk rubbish.

what do you think???

i like that idea, before you even meet the person you know their taste in music cant be too shabby.
but at the same time it could get quite dangerous, the 2 pete's better do their homework or something bad will happen and phantom will be 7ucked.

Hmmmm...

I was just talking to Sinister Pete about this one last night. After the show last week we got a heap of texts and people in the chat room talking about it (incidentally, please pop into the chat room this evening after 10 if you get a chance...had a heap of people in there last week...class). So, we are on for it, just needs to be planned! Agree with Ferdi too, so obviously all the dates would have to be shaperoned! We do have some cool places we could send people to though.

So, all suggestions welcome, and we will discuss it further on air tonight at 10pm!

years ago, must have been....3, 4 years ago? Well, Mike Morrow was doing his cool thursday night show, and for a joke, me and my old pal sid the leper (the queens(well..stalkers if you will...) of phantom back in the day, with people like donal from glasnevin, and porn King ) rang mike morrow and organised a blind date.

well...my grandad died in between the time of scheduling and the actual date which turned out to be on the same day as the funeral and because i wasnt really thast close to my grandad i skipped the "afters". well we met simon and kevin. It was the most dodgy thing EVER as we discovered we didnt really have that much music taste in common (coz that mattered back then)..one of them liked the spice girls. anyway, we met up at 2.30, parted company at 4 and ran away so fast from eachother. then me and sid tried to start up a fight via the mike morrow show (i still have the tapes...hee hee) but it didnt matter, they werent interested in berrating us.

so it might SEEM like a good idea....but chaperoning would be highly advised

im not that groovy...and THANK you for being one of the first people to cotton on to the fact im female (really? I always thought you were a guy from the message board). Apparantly im dangerous. i really hope he doesnt read this but....i was told this moring that i couldnt describe the pain ive caused my ex its as though ive cut his stomach open with a tin can and poured salt in.
needless to say my self confidense is...spiralling downwards.

that sounds like a really good idea the only thing is as drowner said u could not really rely on having like musical tastes as a foundation for it working cos everybody listens to different music and music does not really represent what a person is really like now does it..................

its a really good idea!you could end up with some annoying little slipknot fan mini goth,which would be funny!sinister pete should chaperon and have a running commentary!everyone should have artists names that they like eg. fiona apple and that wud ensure that your music tastes are similar!a scary amount of phantom listeners seem obsessed with cheese though...

yeah cheese does seem to be a relying theme throughout all the discussions - mebbe the first date could be a visit to that cheese shop that is beside hobo just off dame street now that would b funny................

Apart from all the kids that try pathetically to get into Whelans like in the hilarious ad, there are probably twice as many out there who could get in but dont bother trying cos they are too shy/paranoid etc etc.
