Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm surprised no one has raised this issue, coming in the wake of Bobby Molloys foolish intervention in a criminal case and John O' Donaghues involvment too, what do you expect of your TDs, are they there to "fix your roof" or run the state?

    Mike.

    /RANT on
Well TD's are there for national issues and policy anything local should be covered by councillors. Unfortunately the Government and all TD's have forgotten this and have taken the easy way out and went with the "well we sorted the local football club with funds" etc etc route as is evident from the pathetic state of our infrastructure etc.

Its about time that politicians and voters grew up in this country. I mean how many people do you know that vote for a candidate because their family have always voted for that party, and then they complain that nothing is been done.

This raises an interesting question. Should we vote for a candidate based on their party affiliation, or on the strength of character of the candidate him/her self. Oftentimes candidates are apppointed as representatives of a party based on seniority, or perhaps as a favor in return for something that candidate did for the party.

In this case, although you may wish to help a particular party get into power, you cannot but feel that the candidate for whom you would vote would not have been the best choice for you.

One would really have thought that after the Hugh O'Flaherty scandal, government TD's would know better than try to interfere in areas where they clearly should not. I'm disgusted with both individuals.
