Can someone tell me whether the following is theorethically possible?
Buy your own cable modem - connect it to the tv output.
ring NTL - tell them to set u up on their ISP

Its possible, if ntl cable internet is available in your area. But they would probably make you use their own cable modem anyway.

They dont have "their own" cable modem.

Mine is a Motorola Surfboard, my mate has something else altogether.

its not their fault they cant provide a two way system to the areas they said they would,
lets not forget about them being lied to about the state of the network

When I rang em they told me we could have it on current cable lines in August/September when they bring in digital TV ... not that I believe em lol
