Forgive my ignorance on this, but can spammers pick up an email adress when it's it plain text on a board like this?

Each thread is just a html page, therefore searchable and pretty easy for email addresses to be plucked out.
If its the result of a cgi script than its much less likely.. say the profile option on the boards or equivalent..
