    Did you know that Jean Marie Le Pen's former wife has appeared naked in the French edition of Playboy?

    True story.

    About 12-14 years ago, old Jean Marie was involved in a bitter divorce case with his then wife. She sued him for alimony and he made some public statement to the effect that if she needed money, his wife—who was in her fifties and had never worked a day in her life— could damned well go out and get a proper job - like become a maid.

    (He's that sort of caring sharing touchy feely modern man).

    Ever the opportunist, Madame Le Pen (ex) approached the French office of Playboy and offered to try out some typically saucy French maid's outfits—presumably to see if she would be comfortable in her new role—on condition that Playboy photograph her and pay her lots of money for the privelege of publishing the pictures.

    That month's French edition sold out by breakfast time on the day of publication.

    So I'm told.

    Thats base politics, I couldn't really give a damn about someones private life unless it effects their public desicion making.

    Private Life? I think the centre fold of Playboy is pretty public domain, don't you? More so than the Dail Reports. At least people read Playboy.

    And La Keane chose to make her affair with Haughey public. Not that it wasn't widely known about for years.

    Personnally I have no time for Le Pen, but I don't really care if his x wife posed for playboy.
